Terms of Service

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of LowSignalMail (the "Service"), provided by LowSignalMail ("we", "us", or "our"). By creating an account or using the Service, you agree to these Terms.

1. Description of the Service

LowSignalMail is an SMS-to-Gmail bridge that allows you to read, reply to, and compose Gmail messages using standard SMS text messages. The Service connects to your Google Gmail account via OAuth 2.0 and uses the Twilio platform to deliver SMS messages to and from your mobile phone number.

2. Eligibility

To use the Service you must:

• Be at least 13 years of age (or the minimum age required by law in your jurisdiction).
• Have a valid Gmail account that you own or are authorized to use.
• Own or be authorized to use the mobile phone number you register.
• Consent to receive SMS messages from LowSignalMail, including verification codes and email notifications. Message and data rates may apply.

3. Account Registration

You must provide your mobile phone number and verify it via a one-time SMS code to create an account. You are responsible for keeping your account information accurate and for all activity associated with your account.

You agree not to create accounts using automated means or to create accounts under false pretenses.

4. Gmail Authorization

The Service requires you to authorize LowSignalMail to access your Gmail account via Google's OAuth 2.0 protocol. By granting authorization, you allow LowSignalMail to read your inbox, send emails on your behalf, mark emails as read, and receive real-time inbox notifications — all for the sole purpose of operating the SMS interface described herein.

You may revoke this authorization at any time in your Google Account permissions settings. Revoking authorization will disable the Service for your account.

5. Acceptable Use

You agree to use the Service only for lawful purposes and in accordance with these Terms. You agree not to:

• Use the Service to send spam, unsolicited commercial messages, or any content that violates applicable law.
• Use the Service to send or receive content that is illegal, harassing, threatening, obscene, or otherwise objectionable.
• Attempt to gain unauthorized access to other users' accounts or to the Service's systems.
• Use the Service in any way that could damage, disable, or impair the Service or interfere with any other party's use of the Service.
• Attempt to reverse-engineer, decompile, or otherwise extract the source code of the Service.

6. SMS Messaging

By using the Service, you consent to receive SMS messages from LowSignalMail including: account verification codes, email notifications, and email content delivered in response to your requests. Message frequency depends on how many emails you receive and how actively you use the Service.

To stop receiving messages, reply STOP at any time or contact us at the address in Section 12. You may also suspend notifications via the settings portal at /settings.

Standard message and data rates charged by your carrier may apply to SMS messages sent and received through the Service.

7. Billing and Credits

The Service operates on a prepaid credit basis. SMS messages sent and received through the Service are charged against your account balance. Rates are disclosed at the time of purchase. We reserve the right to adjust rates with reasonable advance notice.

Unused credits are non-refundable except as required by applicable law.

8. Privacy

Your use of the Service is governed by our Privacy Policy, which is incorporated into these Terms by reference.

9. Intellectual Property

The Service and its original content, features, and functionality are owned by LowSignalMail and are protected by applicable intellectual property laws. You are granted a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to use the Service for its intended purpose.

10. Disclaimer of Warranties

THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" WITHOUT WARRANTY OF ANY KIND. TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, WE DISCLAIM ALL WARRANTIES, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT.

We do not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that any defects will be corrected. SMS delivery is subject to carrier availability and conditions outside our control. Email delivery is subject to Google's Gmail service availability.

11. Limitation of Liability

TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, LOWSIGNALMAIL SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR ANY LOSS OF PROFITS, REVENUE, DATA, GOODWILL, OR OTHER INTANGIBLE LOSSES, ARISING OUT OF OR IN CONNECTION WITH YOUR USE OF OR INABILITY TO USE THE SERVICE.

OUR TOTAL LIABILITY TO YOU FOR ANY CLAIMS ARISING FROM THESE TERMS OR YOUR USE OF THE SERVICE SHALL NOT EXCEED THE AMOUNT YOU PAID TO US IN THE TWELVE MONTHS PRECEDING THE CLAIM.

12. Termination

You may stop using the Service at any time by contacting us to close your account. We may suspend or terminate your account if you violate these Terms, engage in fraudulent or illegal activity, or if we discontinue the Service, with reasonable notice where practicable.

13. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. We will notify you of material changes by SMS before they take effect. Your continued use of the Service after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.

14. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of North Carolina, United States, without regard to its conflict of law provisions. Any disputes arising from these Terms shall be resolved in the courts of North Carolina.
